Every hero has his or her own point of uniqueness in Arena of Valor to which each player brings his or her own understanding - the better their understanding, the better the techniques available. Yorn is a marksman with a strong ability to deal escalating levels of damage and finishing opponents at a long range. The following is an analysis of Yorn's abilities - which we hope will be very helpful!

  [Hero Introduction]
Yorn is a marksman and his passive strafing fire can hit multiple heroes at once. Yorn's damage basically comes from his normal attack, given the exponential amount of damage that can be dealt through his passive. His ability damage is not particularly great, but relies on his passive following the use of his abilities.
Â
It is easy to activate Yorn's passive; you only need to deal five consecutive normal attacks or the use of his first or third abilities to cast it, and it will deal an appreciable amount of damage. On the downside, he lacks mobility and control-related abilities, and is not especially strong at surviving, thus he is a hero in need of steady, stable growth.

  [Skill Analysis]

Fierce Shot(Passive):The fifth consecutive normal attack truggers a burst of arrows, eachattack cause 156 Phys.DMG.
Analysis: Yorn's passive ability can strafe multiple enemies at once, its damage increasing explosively with better equipment. It is Yorn’s main damage-dealing ability.
Explosive Arrow:Yorn shoots an explosive arrow which deals 145(+120)Phys.DMG to the enemies it hits and slows their Mov. Speed by 70% for 2sec.Also,the next normal attck will become a burst shot.
Analysis: Yorn's first ability is his only, and minor, control ability. It will immediately activate his passive after it is cast and enemies struck will have their speed reduced. It can be used in pursuit of enemies or to open up a larger gap between yourself and your opponent to fire from a safer position.
Heavenly Barrage:Yorn calls down celestial arrows that cause 105(+94)Phys.DMG to a random in-range enemy every sec.
Analysis: Yorn's second ability. It has a somewhat reduced chance of actually hitting the enemy. It is best used to supplement damage during a standoff or team battle.
Herat Shot:Yorn shoots an extremely long-range arrow which deal 300(+275)Phys. DMG,plus Magic Damage that equals 6% of target's lost HP. The arrow will fly until it hits an enemy hero, dealing the same amount of DMG to all enemy until along its path. Also, the next normal attack will become a burst shot.
Analysis: Yorn's ultimate is a long range finisher, but without particularly great damage. It could be used to pursue a weakened opponent or probe the brush.

  [Upgrade Recommendations]
In terms of upgrades, the focus should mainly be on his first ability, and then second. His second ability doesn't have an especially high chance of hitting its target, so it is best to prioritize his first ability.

  [Skill Casting Techniques]
As Yorn's damage is quite reliant on his passive, and because his first and third abilities both activate his passive, the damage from Yorn's abilities is not particularly high, so one must not be stingy with his abilities but cast where possible in team battles to maximize your damage within a short space of time. After last hitting minions or when under the protection of a Tower in the early game, you could have a look at the minimap and then release the ultimate to supplement teammate damage wherever a small team confrontation may have broken out - a supporting move that could ensure your own rapid development. You can also head to the enemies'Jungle buff or Abyssal Dragon buff areas and cast it on jungling enemy heroes to uncover their movements.

  [Summary]

When compared to other marksmen, Yorn has quite appreciable strafing damage, but relatively weak survival skills. People need to have a good level of awareness and the protection of teammates. He is a nightmare for enemies in the late game and his passive can deliver a significant amount of damage after building up his equipment. Just remember to move around well, as he can only deal damage if he survives.
